The Rocky Mountain - A Place for Ski Lovers

Maybe you love the colder climates and seasons and taking your vacations during this time of year. If you enjoy skiing you may want to visit some of the prime ski resorts in North America many of which are of Olympic quality and size.

Numerous hills have been used in the Winter Olympics at some point in time throughout its history. Some skiers take to the Alps and think that it is the primary location for a great skiing adventure but you can find great ski resorts closer to home that may only be a few hours drive or plane ride from where you live.

Perhaps keeping company with some of the rich and famous has drawn you to Aspen, Colorado ski resorts which is considered one of the best areas for skiing in North America. The Rocky Mountain area is ideal and a popular getaway for many Americans in their own back yard.

Perhaps a taste of Europe is more to your liking at Mount Tremblant in Quebec, Canada where French-speaking people surround the area with the sounds of Europe right here in North America. Mount Tremblant provides excellent skiing and an atmosphere that resembles some far off land.

Maybe the East coast is more your flavor. You can visit Stowe, Vermont where the ski hills are thick with snow and provide for hours of great skiing and lots of fun.

The Rocky Mountain area also offers Lake Louise in Alberta which is a scenic place nestled in the famous mountains in North America and offering travelers of Calgary's International Airport some nearby recreation prairie style.

For the serious skier, there is Whistler, British Columbia that offers some of the finest ski resorts in the world not just North America, and has been host to some of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic events.

No matter which of these fine ski resorts you choose to visit, you are in for the experience of a lifetime because of the breathtaking beauty that is offered by each one of them that is unmatched by anywhere else.
